Returning to school:
our Covid-SAfe Plan

We are thrilled to finally be returning to lessons at school after a long wait! To ensure a safe and healthy return to classes onsite, 2 Dream Music & Wellbeing will be adhering to the following COVID-Safe Plan that has been approved by the Victorian Education Board and at all our schools.

PLEASE NOTE: Any student who feels unwell, however mild, should not attend our classes; they will be entitled to receive a makeup lesson or video lesson at a later date.

COVID-19

• 2DMW Teachers must notify 2DMW immediately if they have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

• 2DMW Teachers must notify 2DMW immediately if they feel symptoms of COVID-19 and if they get tested.

INSTRUMENTS & EQUIPMENT

• All instruments and equipment will be sanitised before and after each class. Sanitising wipes will be made readily available and securely disposed of after use.

• 2DMW will provide each student with their own instrument and equipment during class to minimise sharing, e.g. one guitar each, one set of drumsticks each.

• Students have been asked to bring their own instrument and equipment from home where/if possible, providing school restrictions permit this.

LESSON SPACE

• Teachers must wear face masks.

• Hand sanitiser will be provided upon entering the space and students must sanitise their hands before commencing the lesson.

• Our lesson space will be adjusted to accommodate 1.5m social distancing measures between all students and teachers.

• Where applicable, teachers will be phoning classrooms rather than visiting classrooms to collect students for their lessons.

• 2DMW teachers will take measures to keep as minimal contact as possible with school staff members and other students not involved in our program.

TIMETABLING

• Our class timetabling will carefully adhere to the school's 'bubble' policies to prevent mixing of year levels.

• Our teachers will be limiting their movement by teaching at a maximum of 2 school locations only.

POLICIES, Terms & Conditions

Missed Lessons and Make Up Lessons

  • If your child misses a lesson for a reason such as illness, an appointment, or an exam, we must be given notice via email at least 24 hours prior to the lesson as this affects the 2 Dream Music & Wellbeing timetable and students for the day. Your child will then be entitled to a make-up lesson with their 2 Dream Music & Wellbeing teacher.

  • If no written notice is received, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a make-up lesson unless there are extenuating circumstances.

  • We can make up a maximum of 2 missed lessons per term. If we are unable to give your child a make-up lesson at school, they will receive an online video lesson instead.

  • If your child’s teacher misses a lesson OR if your child has a school event/excursion at the time of their regular lesson, then your child will be entitled to receive their lesson with another 2DMW teacher on that day. Or, they will receive a make-up lesson with their regular 2DMW teacher at a later date.

PAYMENTS & Re-enrolments

  • Invoices are pre-paid for a full semester (two school terms) unless authorised by 2 Dream Music & Wellbeing.

  • Students will be automatically re-enrolled into the next semester of lessons unless we receive your cancellation in writing ONLY via email.

Communication

  • Communication from 2 Dream Music & Wellbeing regarding account updates, payments, changes to class times, and concert dates will be directed to the email address associated with the online account.

  • We may also send you text message reminders, after initially contacting you via email.

  • It is the responsibility of this email contact to pass along any pertinent information to any other parties. It is your responsibility to notify us if your phone or email changes.
